This is just a quick reminder that we have our January meeting tonight at 6:30.

Topic: Frameworks Demystified

What are frameworks? What a framework means for developers and teams? What are the benefits for companies and organizations? When and how to use a framework? How to decide the right framework? 


All the questions may have interesting answers which can provide efficiency to the software product lifecycle and this presentation will try to clarify possible pros and cons of frameworks with sample frameworks usage in ColdFusion world.

    For those who might be interested, here are a couple of links to Isaac Dealey's Galleon Ports project that I mentioned at the meeting last night. As Issac indicates:

    "This project is intended to show a comparative, side-by-side analysis of several open-source ColdFusion application frameworks. My hope is that this project will show mostly how these frameworks are fundamentally similar, although through the process of elimination I also hope to show what features or implementations of each framework might be unique and the relative strengths of each."
